Mindfulness techniques help us to connect with what is happening now! We are often not truly engaged with the present moment and we seem to spend half our life anxious about the future or worried about things that have happened in the past.
Over the past four years meditation has become more and more important to me. We all want to feel balanced and able to deal with whatever life throws at us. Meditation techniques can help you feel centred and grounded and better able to survive in our busy daily lives.
I have studied with many wonderful teachers both in the UK and India. I have also had the opportunity to spent time at ashrams in the UK, in Guatemala and in India.
Yoga and Ayurveda have all had a hugely beneficial impact on my life.
Yoga is my passion! I have practised Yoga for over fifteen years and have taught for over four. I am a British Wheel of Yoga teacher and I have deepened my physical practice with the study of Ayurveda and of meditation techniques.
Ayurveda means “science of life”. Ayurveda helps you to understand what your body needs in terms of food, exercise and rest, season by season, and year by year. We are all part of nature, not separate from it. “You are what you eat” and as the seasons change our body cries out for what it needs, we just have to learn to listen to our bodies and respond!
Yoga should be an uplifting and joyful experience. I would love to share my passion for yoga and meditation with you.
